Claims are hard to check
A polished CV looks the same whether or not anything in it has been verified.
Career Identity
A CV tells people what you claim. Career Identity shows what has been checked: one number, one verified history, and a digital card in the Contractor app.
01 · Why it matters
Engagement decisions rest on claims that are difficult to check. A company cannot easily tell which qualifications and positions have been confirmed, and contractors are asked to send sensitive documents to people they have never met.
Every time you move between clients, your record is rebuilt from nothing. Career Identity exists to fix those three problems.
A polished CV looks the same whether or not anything in it has been verified.
Passports, national IDs and certificates are sent again and again to people you do not know.
Education, training and completed engagements end up scattered across forms, files and systems.
02 · What it is
Career Identity is not another app. It is your own professional record, and every platform in the ecosystem connects around it.
Training and certification are features inside these platforms, not a separate application.

MyInternship03 · The five parts
Not a single document. Five connected parts that work together.
Your Career Identity Number is issued after successful identity verification and stays the same across the ecosystem services you use.
Education, engagements, projects, skills, certifications, languages and references, kept in one place and added to over time.
Every career fact shows where it came from, so what you declared is never confused with what has been verified.
A five-level indicator shows how well your record is supported by evidence. It is not a score of your ability.
A card in the app shows your number and a QR code, so others can check the information you have permitted.
04 · How it works
Most people can have a working Career Identity in five steps.
Enter your education, engagements and skills.
Complete the one-time identity verification.
A unique Career Identity Number is linked to your record.
Request qualification verification and references where they are available.
Show it to a company as evidence of what has been verified, without another round of reference requests.
05 · Why it matters to you
A way to be taken seriously on evidence, while keeping control of your information.
Show your card and permitted verification status instead of sending private documents again and again.
Verified qualifications and supported references make your record clearer than a CV alone.
Your record follows you between clients and into new work.
You decide what each company or recruitment partner can see.
A credible record helps in Kenya and, where available, with clients abroad.
Your referees confirm your work once. Your card shows the result, so they are not asked again by everyone.
06 · Why it matters to clients
When a contractor can show what has been checked, a company stops chasing the same references for every engagement. Companies see only what you have permitted, and remain responsible for their own decisions.
Verified references and qualifications appear on the card, so the same referees are not contacted for every engagement.
Self-declared, confirmed and verified information are never mixed together.
You share what an engagement needs, not your whole file.
07 · Evidence labels
Every career fact carries a label showing where it came from, so a number is never mistaken for proof of everything in a record.
You entered the information directly. It has not been independently verified.
A suggestion was made automatically, and you accepted or edited it.
An authorised registrar confirmed the qualification through the verification process.
A referee supported a specific part of your professional experience.
Verification for TVET qualifications, technical certificates, college diplomas and other awarding bodies will be introduced as institutional integrations become available.
08 · Strength
A five-level indicator shows how well a record is supported by evidence. As eligible verification is added, the indicator can reflect it.
It is not a measure of talent, personal value or guaranteed work, and it is never a ranking of people.
09 · The card
Your Career Identity Card lives in the app. It shows your Career Identity Number and a QR code, so a company can confirm your identity is valid and see the verification you have chosen to share.
Your passport, certificates and other private documents are never exposed. The card reflects only the checks that have actually been completed. It does not replace a government-issued ID and it does not guarantee work.
10 · Privacy and control
Career Identity is built to hold as little as it can for as long as it must.
Identity documents and files used for automated suggestions are processed for a limited period, then deleted rather than stored indefinitely.
Automated changes become part of your record only when you accept them.
A number or digital card does not give anyone access to your complete record or your private documents.
A public check of your number reveals only the information you have permitted.
11 · Honest limits
Clear limits protect contractors and companies alike.
It does not replace a passport, national ID or any other government document.
It does not give access to your account, and sharing it does not give others access.
It helps you be believed. It does not promise engagements, offers or a particular rate.
It does not mean every skill or qualification in a record has been verified. The labels show what has.
Strength shows how well a record is supported, not how capable a person is.
12 · Who it is for
Anyone building a professional record in Kenya.
13 · Questions
A company makes its own decisions and may still ask questions. But when your references and qualifications have been verified and appear on your card, there is clear evidence to rely on, so repeated requests to your referees should not be needed.
A permanent, unique number linked to your professional record after successful identity verification. It identifies your record without exposing your private documents.
Creating a standard contractor account is intended to be free. Where an institution charges to verify a qualification, that fee is disclosed before the request proceeds.
No. Showing your card or your number does not give access to your private documents or your complete record. A company sees only what you permit.
No. It is not a password and it does not give access to your account.
Yes. You can delete your account, and your number is then deactivated. The Privacy Policy sets out what happens to the record.
