No cookies at all

This site sets none. You can confirm it by reading the page source.

No analytics, no advertising

No tracking pixel, no embedded social media, no third-party script that could set one.

One session item

Held by your browser for one tab, cleared when it closes, never sent to a server.

This will change

Signing in will need a session cookie. It will be listed here before it is set.

1

Why this page is short

Most cookie policies are long because the site behind them sets a lot of cookies. This one sets none. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel, no embedded social media, and no third party script that can set a cookie.

The site loads one external resource, a webfont from Google Fonts, which serves the font files themselves. Everything else, including every image and logo, is embedded directly in the page.

2

What session storage is, and why it is listed

Session storage is a small area your browser sets aside for one tab. It is cleared when the tab closes, it is never transmitted to a server, and it cannot be used to recognise you later or elsewhere.

It is not a cookie and most policies would not mention it. It is listed above because disclosing it costs nothing and leaving it out would mean this page was not quite true.

3

What will change when accounts go live

Signing in requires a session cookie. That is strictly necessary for the service to work and does not require consent, but it does require disclosure.

Anything beyond that changes the position. Analytics, performance monitoring, advertising, or embedded third party content are not strictly necessary, and under Kenyan data protection law they need a lawful basis and, in practice, a consent mechanism that works.

A consent banner that sets cookies before the user answers, or that makes refusing harder than accepting, is worse than no banner. If one is added it has to actually gate the scripts.

4

Mobile apps are a separate question

The App Store and Google Play badges on this site are inert placeholders. When the apps are real they will use device identifiers and SDKs rather than cookies, and both stores require a privacy declaration that matches what the app actually does.

That declaration and this policy have to say the same thing.

5

How to control what is stored

Every major browser lets you clear and block cookies and site data, and clearing site data for this domain removes the session storage item described above with no loss of function beyond seeing the opening animation again.

Blocking the webfont has no effect other than the site rendering in a fallback typeface.

If this page and the site disagree

Trust the site, and tell us. This page was written by reading the code, and code changes. It should be re-checked whenever a script, an embed, or an analytics tool is added, and the version date at the top updated.
